Julia Constance Wiger-Nordås (b. 2001 in Bergen NO) is an experimental composer of handwritten works. She leans into intuition, texture blocks, and radicality.
This year will bring mysterious exhibitions, festivals spread over Scandinavia, and a residency performance in Vilnius.
Julia sings in sacred painting exhibitions and explores distinctive concert formats (long silences, sauna concert). She leads Music and silence annually with Sanne Frostensson.
In 2025, Skulptur for sinfonietta sounded at the Lucerne Festival and Kajimoto Music in Tokyo. In 2024, she composed the concert Kontraklanger for contra range ensemble and the portrait tour November Chords with Sonora Ensemble.
Julia has a Bachelor’s degree in composition and art from the Grieg Academy and Zürich University of the Arts. She is now freelancing in Bergen, searching for beautiful tension fields between the concrete and the invisible.
